Cara Ray

Cara Ray was identified in July 2005 at Manta Village She was approximately 6 feet wide but has grown to 10-12 feet.

Cara was first seen at Manta Village, but today she is a regular at the Manta Heaven site.

When she was first sighted she was not a shy manta and quickly learned the routine. While most new mantas will stay at Manta Village for several months, Cara was “off to greener pastures” within a month.

She seems to prefer snorkelers to scuba divers and often makes them “scream” with excitement. She will also grace the divers with her presence if the plankton is right.

She is a bold manta ray that “knows the program”.
