Louisette Ray

Louisette Ray was identified November 29, 2019 at Kauna’oa Bay by Charlelie Comte. She was very shy and a pup with 5 feet wingspan.

As Charlelie recalled: “Getting a picture of shy Louisette was quite challenging. I would stand in front of her to get her best angle, but she would just go left or right and stick to the sand instead of going up and showing me her belly. I named her Louisette in honor of my grandmother from France. I’ve been traveling a lot and living abroad for many years now and I miss my family every day. So getting the chance to see Louisette, the manta when I go for a swim reminds me that my family and my grandmother are still very close to me during my adventures”.
